Gear up for a cultural experience at Ambarita where you will encounter the Batak tribe and explore Batak architecture. Visit the Simanindo Museum for delightful ethnic songs and dance performances. Make your way to the Batu Parsidangan, the famous stone chairs dating back to 200 years, that were used for meetings between the king, queen, and council members. Take a dip, go fishing, kayaking, or water skiing in the beautiful Lake Toba, a water body in a volcanic crater. The sacred Pusuk Buhit is the main mountain in this region which is believed to be the birthplace of the Batak kings. If your adventures tire you out, head to the hot springs in Pangururan for a nice long soak. And don’t forget to pick up some Ulos fabric from Suhi Suhi village as a souvenir.
