Garachico

Garachico is one of the charming towns in Tenerife of Canary Island, Spain. Swim with an incredible view of the Atlantic ocean at El Caleton, a series of natural pools and puddles formed when the Arenas Negras Volcano erupted in 1706. Learn more about the Arenas Negras Volcano's impact on Garachico at the museum in the Castle of San Miguel, a monument of national importance. Head to Roque de Garachico Natural Monument, a volcanic geological formation less than 1000 feet from the coast. See gray heron, Bulwer’s petrel, and storm petrel at the Garachico coast. Visit the Church of Santa Ana, a beautiful church founded by Cristobal de Ponte in 1520.
