Pangkor Island

Pangkor Island is a popular tourist destination in the Malaysian state of Perak. Visit the ruins of Dutch Fort on the southeastern end of the island. Built by the Dutch in 1670, the fort is a testimony to Perak’s rich colonial heritage. Head to Batu Besurat, a famous Boulder with tiger rock inscription located across the road from Kota Belanda. Bask in the warmth of nature at Pasir Bogak Beach on the southern coast. The beach is accessed through the hills to Teluk Ketapang. Visit Sungai Pinang Besar, a Chinese fishermen settlement famous for shipyards since the 1980s. Trek through lush jungle vegetation to the summit of Pangkor Hill, the island’s highest point.
