Qazvin

Qazvin is a quaint city in Iran famous for its calligraphy, carpets patterns, and poets. Visit the Grand Bazaar, one of the vibrant markets in Iran featuring colonial architecture. Relish kebabs and soak in the atmosphere of the bazaar at the Caravanserai complex housing cafes and boutiques. Visit Imamzadeh Hossein Shrine, a popular pilgrimage site with a large courtyard, verandah, and breathtaking tile work. The shrine is a fine example of Qajar art and architecture. See the city gates from the Qajar era situated in the middle of the city. Out of nine gates, only two of them are still standing. The Darb-e-Koushk Gate is the oldest while the Tehran Gate is known for its beautiful tile work. Taste Geymeh Nasser, a traditional meat dish of Qazvin made with diced meat and nuts.
