Shiraz

Shah Cheragh is a mausoleum in Iran and an important religious monument for Shiite Muslims. Shah Cheragh located in Shiraz city of Iran is known for its stunning interiors of mirror and glass pieces adorning the walls and ceilings of the mosque. Known as King of Lights, Shah Cheragh was built in the 12th century during the reign of Atabakan of Fars. The magnificent tile work in the entrance along with the extensive mirror work under the dome will leave you awestruck. Open to non-Muslims, Shah Cheragh contains the shrines of Ahmad bin Musa and Muhammad bin Musa, descendants of Prophet Muhammad. Visit the library and museum to see the old copies of the Quran.
