Telfs

Telfs is a small town in the Austrian state of Tyrol located at the foothills of the majestic Hohe Munde mountain. The town is famous for Schleicherlaufen, a colorful procession held every five years as part of the carnival celebrations to bid farewell to winters (the next festival is in 2025). Visit the 300-year-old Franciscan monastery and church situated in the center of the town for a moment of tranquility. Ski enthusiasts can choose between Rosshutte and Gschwandkopf which offer incredible views across the valley. Play a game of golf at Mieminger Plateau Golf course nestled amidst a beautiful pine forest. This 18 hole golf course offers breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains. Take a tour of the Stams Monastery, a Cistercian monastery built in Baroque style with rich interiors tucked in the Tyrol mountains. Enjoy a day trip to Innsbruck, the capital of the alps located just 27 kilometers from Telfs.
