Vernazza

Vernazza is one of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre region in Italy. The charming fishing village is known for its pastel houses. The picturesque village is framed by the Church of Santa Margherita d’Antiochia, an ancient church built in Gothic Ligurian style. Marvel at the bell tower and tiled domes of the church that makes it a stunning architectural beauty. Climb up the 11th century Doria castle tower for a stunning view of the ocean, cliffs on one side and Vernazza on the other. The castle overlooks the harbor and was once used to protect Vernazza from pirates. Vernazza is the only one of the villages in Cinque Terre to have a natural harbor. The Labor front beach is the perfect place to unwind and have a beach picnic.
