Wae Rebo

Wae Rebo village is the perfect destination for an unbeaten path, an ideal destination for your vacation. Surrounded by panoramic mountains and Todo forest, the village is located in the hinterlands of Flores island in Indonesia. Wae Rebo can be accessed by a three-hour hike from Denge Village. The highlight of the village is the Mbaru Niang house, an enormous cone-shaped house supported by bamboo beams and a thatched roof. The house has five levels designated for specific purposes like storing foodgrains, living quarters, attic to store seeds for harvest, etc. The village has seven houses and a little over 1000 inhabitants and is also famous for its Arabica coffee.
